Schedule – May 2024

Schedule – May 2024

by Johnny Cycles, April 30, 2024

Outlaws of Thunder Junction released a few weeks back and I’m super excited about a lot of different cards! I didn’t expect a set inspired by the Wild West to have so many Dragons. Or Hydras, for that matter. I have a lot of different decks I’ve been playtesting or have plans to. Be sure to check out my YouTube channel for game play between articles. If you like the content, click that subscribe button!

I’ll leave the usual blurb below for those new to the site, but this month’s schedule will be a bit different. There are 5 weeks in May, which means a bonus article!

My goal is to publish an article between Wednesday and Friday every week. I am a stay-at-home dad of three, though, so there may be weeks that life gets in the way. I’ll rotate the topics each week in the following order: Fiction-Modern-Commander-Modern. Whenever possible, I’ll publish articles and videos when they’re ready. Now that I am making videos, I hope to upload gameplay of each of the Modern decks I’ve already written about, as well as new ones I’m testing. For these reasons, there will be weeks when more than one article and/or video gets posted. Published articles are pretty time-intensive, hence the once-a-week-schedule, but the matches I play along the way will get posted to my YouTube channel as I go. Be sure to check there if you’re looking for a match but it isn’t yet on the site.

Schedule

May 3rd – Dragons in Modern – Mono Red Dragons with Magda, the Hoardmaster and Stingerback Terror

May 10th – Keeping Modern Janky – Hydra Tribal with Goldvein Hydra

May 17th – Commander – Let’s keep the Hydra theme going! Sultai Hydra Tribal with Zaxara, the Exemplary

May 24th – Keeping Modern Janky – TBD, but either Jund Caustic Bronco or Amulet Dinos with Terror of the Peaks

May 31 – Fiction – Chapters 17-18 – the final part of Charleston’s Test

If there is a topic you want me to write about, a deck you want me to try out, or if you want less of one thing and more of another, let me know in the comments or email me: johnnycycles16@gmail.com. If you enjoy the site, please let your friends know via word of mouth or social media or messenger pigeon, if that’s your preference. This is a new site that needs all the clicks it can get! Also, be sure to check out my Facebook page and YouTube Channel!

Thanks for reading and watching, subscribing and sharing!
