What began as a fun snow day extending Winter Break by a single day has become a whole week off from school due to problems at the local water treatment plant. And while my children have lived every school-aged kid’s dream of Winter Break continuing indefinitely, I’ve not had the time necessary to complete this week’s Dragons in Modern article. Thus, I’m postponing it until next week.
In the meantime, I’ve been able to make a shorter video that you’ll find below. It’s a deck idea using Tyvar the Bellicose, Dionus, Elvish Archdruid, and an old card. Hope you enjoy it!
I’ve managed to publish a few shorter videos to my YouTube Channel, as well. These I’m calling Living the Dream in Modern. They’re clips of some of the fun and janky moments I’ve had playing my Modern brews over this past year.
I’ll see what else I can get done with my kids home, but in the meantime, here’s the updated schedule. Hopefully by next week, everyone in my house will be back to our normal routine.

January 24th – The Podkind, Chapters 29 and 30 – Charleston’s Ranger training continues, while his relationship with Gala progresses. But a new danger forms, which threatens them both.
January 31st – Keeping Modern Janky (Waste Not-Tinybones) OR Dragons in Pioneer (Sarkhan-Dragonhawk) OR Commander – TBD. I’ve got a few decks to choose from, but I want to see what all I have the chance to playtest between now and then.
