Reality Fracture is a powerful new set with a bunch of interesting and unique cards. And while I usually avoid things like Commander staples, I couldn’t help but notice how the following cards offer too much power for Commander players to pass up without good reason.
Rather Watch than Read?
Green

It doesn’t take a creature-heavy deck to tap this for more than 1 mana. But even if we’re paying 3 mana to get a single mana of any color, that’s an okay rate. The ceiling for this card is super high and easily cast in even 5-color decks.

I don’t think Wizards needed to print this card. Elves, and G/X decks in general, don’t need it, but will surely make room for this Elf Druid now.
White

A strict upgrade to Gallant Strike, the lifegain that comes with both modes make this card an auto inclusion for lifegain decks. White lacks good Cantrip cards, which makes this flexible instant worth the additional mana to draw a card.
Black

Flexibility once more plays a role in why this card will see a ton of play in Commander. 5 mana is a lot for only one of these modes, but for the option of either, it will be hard to pass up for the 99. Not to mention, the card draw attached to our biggest creature is new to Black.

Vraska’s Final Mercy
At sorcery speed, this is not an ideal kill spell, but it’s also not bad since we can target a creature or planeswalker.
It’s other mode is essentially a draw 2 for 2 and 2 life by itself. Sure we need 2 turns for this, but if you’re playing Sign in Blood, I think this is a strictly better card.
Red

Spellslinger decks will run this the most, but any Red/x deck can fully take advantage of flashing back their best instant or sorcery.

For a single R our creatures get trample, which is incredible. Green has paid at least 2 for this in the past. Attach that to a Fireball and this card is busted. It may be the best utility card in the set.
AND, since it’s an enchantment, it will trigger cards that care about noncreature spells, like Hawkeye, Young Avenger.

A strict upgrade to Emblem of the Warmind, granting all of our creatures haste is a super powerful effect for just 2 mana. Again, this effect that is something that usually costs at least 3 mana.
Blue

Combo and Control decks alike will play this 2-mana creature to add a layer of protection to their instants and sorceries.

X/U Wizard decks will love this card, but it is a powerful addition to nearly every X/U deck. Card filtering early alongside slowing our opponent down plus a body to attack or block, followed by 2 more cards at instant speed is too much value to pass up.
Multicolored
The Charms
Fatehold Charm and Vigorbloom Charm are the best in my opinion, but all will see a ton of play.
Colorless

A 3 mana mana rock is 1 more than optimal, but the card filtering will be highly relevant in the late game, a time when most mana rocks have lost most of their value.
Which cards do you see finding the most homes in Commander? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading and watching!
